Ingredients per serving
- 1.6 cup labneh
- 0.35 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.2 tsp za'atar
- 0.125 oz Water
- 0.1 tsp Kosher Salt
- 0.025 oz Olive Oil
Method
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.
2. Add water and olive oil to the flour mixture. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.
3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin sheet, about 1/8-inch thick. Cut the dough into triangles, approximately 4 inches at the base and 3 inches in height.
5. In a small bowl, mix the labneh and za'atar until well combined.
6. Place a teaspoon of the za'atar-labneh mixture on one half of each triangle. Fold the other half over to form a triangle, pressing the edges together to seal.
7. Using a fork, crimp the edges of each sambusak to ensure they are sealed tightly.
8. Arrange the sambusaks on the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 1 inch of space between them.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
